It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Adelaide Dental Students’ Society (AUDSS). The AUDSS, established in 1919, is one of the oldest and largest dental student societies in Australia and New Zealand. It is the sole student organisation of the School of Dentistry and the University of Adelaide, connecting, informing and being an integral part of the 600 dental, oral health and postgraduate students. As the student society of the nation’s premier and long-standing dental school, we are committed to maintaining a reputable, trustworthy, and innovative organisation that is recognised in Australia as a leader in student representation.
The AUDSS – Representing future Leaders
The AUDSS impacts every student‘s experience, by means of advocacy campaigns, events, academic series, community projects and a wide range of publications. We represent the leaders of tomorrow. Our initiatives include annual events in both social and formal setting which bring together students from all year levels to connect with academics, staff, alumni and industry aiding in their transition into Australia’s wider dental community. We are also strong advocators for social justice with a focus on community aid, fund raising for projects both locally and internationally. In addition, the AUDSS runs year-long academic and professional development programs to supplement the university curricula. Furthermore, the AUDSS has our own sports competition teams in Netball, Basketball and Indoor Soccer, as well hosting a range of ‘inter –year’ and ‘inter-faculty’ Sports competitions.

AUDSS is a dynamic organization, comprised of a diverse group of students; undergraduate and postgraduate; local and international; rural, metropolitan and Indigenous. We have students from every state and territory in Australia and from over a dozen countries around the world.
