Taste Baguette - Baguettes or salads for $7-10. Usually pretty good coffee. They have some coffee & pastry/sandwich deals. Nice almond croissants and pastries, especially in the morning when they’re freshly baked

Grassroots - Coffee isn’t their specialty, but they do sell a range of salads, quiches, hot meals and soups.

Hawker centre - Asian food options: combinations with rice or noodles, or sushi. They also do bubble tea and other cold or hot drinks.

Basement Cafe - We have soft drinks, chips, chocolate, instant noodles and other cariogenic cheap and nasties for the dental student in a rush.

Mayo café - A range of affordable hot and cold dishes available that vary occasionally. Their hot chips are pretty good.

Zouki café
About 20 meters away from the ADH and 10m away from the smokers ironically smoking infront of the sign that says 'The Hanson Centre for Cancer Research' Zouki sells a range of hot and cold food options, ranging from light snacks to hot, hearty meals. Coffee is alright, hot chocolate is better. Flash your AUDSS membership card for a 10% discount.
Aroma café
Further up Frome Rd than Zouki on the UniSA campus. Has a very large seating area which is good for group lunches. Fairly good food.
East end - Ebenezer Place and Charlick Circuit
Just off Rundle Street and Frome Road about 10 minutes away from the ADH and Uni. Proximity means you can choose to eat-in and take-away food at varying price ranges.

Belgian Beer Café - Slightly more expensive but nice food

Munooshi - A taste of Arabia just off Charlick Circuit on Hutt St. Delicious Lebanese flat breads with various fillings. IT Exec recommends the Chicken Avacado and the Community Aid Exec recommends the lamb mince or falafel.

Kutchi Deli Parwana - Worth visiting just to check out the massive effort they've put into decorating the place! Would recommend the lamb bolan. Don't go knick knocking 9 Ebenezer place though! All the 5th years live there.

Le Carpe Diem - On the other side of East end on Grenfell St, a really cute French creperie with both savoury and sweet crepes as well as yummy pastries

Soonta - 2 shops, one in the Rundle Place Food Court and one in James Palce. Cheap and filling, try the pork belly bun bowl.

Warong - Situated in the Rundle Place Food Court, great if you're craving Malaysian and Indonesian street food, come here for a decent feed close to Uni

Nanyang Cafe - Excellent Malay food in the Renaissance Arcarde. Cheap and BBQ meats are not bad here. But be prepared for a line.

Cibo - A popular Italian café chain. You’ll be seeing them all around Adelaide. Hazelnut cappuccino is recommended, though a more expensive coffee option than other nearby cafés

Bar 9 - In the Adelaide Central Plaza/David Jones food court downstairs, they also have their main café in Parkside [south of Adelaide CBD], which is quite well renowned. Try their Truffled Mushroom Ragu with poached eggs on toast (so creamy~)

Fair Espresso - On James Place off Rundle Mall, a little pricey but well known for good, Fairtrade coffee and a range of milk options available including almond, coconut, soy and organic cow’s milk, a cute small café to sit in if you’ve got time.

Oxfam store café - on Charles St, the side street with a side entrance to David Jones, reasonably priced Fairtrade coffee at around $3.50

Please Say Please - on Grenfell St, just walk to the other the end of the Rundle Place shopping centre, also have interesting macaron flavours that vary regularly. Literally a hole in the wall with really good coffee and enough space to seat maybe 8 people. Take-away is recommended.

* Haigh’s chocolate factory in Parkside (just south of Adelaide CBD) runs free 30-minute tours (ring up to book a few days in advance). They sell a wide range of their products there and offer you samples to try, as well as tea or coffee. Good for small groups of chocolate lovers.
