AAPDP Lectures

The AUDSS Academic and Professional Development Program consists of a series of lectures and workshops held throughout the year, with speakers of the dental profession from a range of specialties, including both our university and external speakers.

 

Since 2010, this program gives the opportunity to students of all levels to supplement the undergraduate curriculum and broaden their exposure to particular topics of interest. It also allows for students to meet with local professionals and gain some insight into dentistry beyond their years at dental school whilst taking part in some extra curricular self-directed learning.

  • April 30th - Aesthetic Dentistry (Dr Geoffrey Knight)

  • May 7th - Dentistry After Dark - Tales from ED (Dr Isaac Liau)

  • May 14th - Tooth Whitening (Dr Dan Farmer)

  • May 21st - Peri-Implantitis and Periodontitis (Dr Andre Bendyk)

  • May 28th - CAD-CAM in Dentistry (Richard Heubl)

  • June 4th - Managing Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Dr Wendy Cheung)

  • July 30th - Advanced Suturing (in conjunction with AUSS)

  • August 13th - Medicolegal Issues in Dentistry (Dr Bernadette Richards )

  • August 27th - Reviewing OPGs (Prof Richard Logan)

  • September 8th - Craniofacial Fracture and Repair Workshop (in conjunction with the AUSS)

  • September 10th - Oral Implications in Patients with Craniofacial Abnormalities (Prof Peter J Anderson)
